History and Culture
The original Xiaomeisha Ocean World opened in 1999. It had accompanied local and surrounding tourists for 20 years and served as a well‑known marine science‑popularization base in South China. Due to the overall renewal of the Xiaomeisha area, the old venue ceased operation for reconstruction.
The new Xiaomeisha Ocean World, invested and constructed by Tefa Group, is an important component of the overall renewal project for the Xiaomeisha area. It launched trial operation in October 2024. Inheriting the marine‑science‑popularization positioning of the old venue, the upgraded park integrates bionic marine‑biology installations, naked‑eye 3D shows and interactive science‑popularization devices to deliver modern marine‑themed sightseeing experiences.
