The iconic "Miracle Flower Carpet" has a total area of about 12,000 square meters, making it one of the largest three-dimensional floral art landscapes in Shanghai. The central "Flower Castle" stands about 26 meters high as the visual center of the garden. Its exterior is covered with over 100,000 colorful flowers, presenting different scenery in four seasons. Based on the ecological foundation of Pujiang Country Park, the garden creates a diversified tourism experience integrating nature, art and popular science with flowers as the carrier.

History and Culture

The area of Pujiang Country Park where Shanghai Miracle Garden is located is in Pujiang Town, Minhang District, Shanghai. It was once a traditional agricultural area in the southern suburbs of Shanghai, retaining the ecological foundation and farming culture of the Jiangnan water town. In 2015, the construction of Pujiang Country Park started planning. As a core functional area, Miracle Garden was mainly developed and officially opened to the public in 2017. It is an important practice of Shanghai's concept of "ecological priority, green development", integrating country ecology with floral art.

The design inspiration of the garden comes from classic European gardening art and integrates local Shanghai-style cultural elements. The pattern design of the core landscape "Miracle Flower Carpet" draws on Shanghai's urban cultural symbols and natural ecological features. The flower layout is updated annually according to different themes, retaining the classic paradigm of gardening art while endowing it with local cultural connotations. Since its opening, the garden has successively held brand events such as the Shanghai Miracle Flower Show, receiving over ten million visitors in total. It has become an iconic project integrating urban gardening culture and ecotourism in Shanghai, as well as the core carrier for Minhang District to build its "ecological cultural tourism" brand.
