Chongqing Happy Valley - Chongqing Tourist Attraction

Chongqing Happy Valley is located at No. 29 Jinyu Avenue, Yubei District, Chongqing. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, covering an area of 480,000 square meters. Built against the mountains, it is the first mountain-version Happy Valley in China. The park is divided into six themed areas: Happy Time, Dream Island, Hurricane Bay, Dinosaur Forest, Old Chongqing, and River Valley Mine Town. It houses over 100 world-class amusement facilities, including the world's most advanced winged roller coaster, the world's sixth-largest Ferris wheel, and the longest and largest wooden roller coaster in Southwest China.

History and Culture

In 2014, Happy Valley officially settled in Chongqing, and the Happy Valley Theme Park and Maya Beach Water Park were built in Lijia International Business and Tourism City of Liangjiang New Area. On March 18, 2016, the first pile was driven at the front square of Chongqing Happy Valley Park; on April 15 of the same year, the first pile was driven for the Happy Valley Theme Park; and on May 15 of the same year, the first pile was driven for the Maya Water Park. On July 8, 2017, the "mountain-version" Happy Valley, tailor-made according to the terrain of Chongqing's mountainous city, officially opened to the public. Covering an area of 180,000 square meters, Maya Beach Water Park diverts water into the mountains using natural height differences. It integrates Maya cultural elements into modern water amusement experiences, recreating the grand scene of water carnival in the prosperous period of the Maya civilization. One of the trains of the wooden roller coaster in Chongqing Happy Valley has a cyan body and a snake-shaped front. Since snakes are sacred creatures to the people of the Bayu region, the choice of a snake-shaped train incorporates the humanistic characteristics of the mountain city into the facility.
