
Jingwumen · Chinese Wulin Park is located in Jingwu Town, Xiqing District, Tianjin. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a large-scale cultural tourism park centered on inheriting Jingwu culture and promoting the spirit of martial arts. The total area of the scenic spot is about 3880 mu. Among them, the construction area of Huo Yuanjia Memorial Hall is about 3500 square meters, and the training venue area of Jingwu Hall reaches 8000 square meters. Relying on the unique cultural IP of "Jingwu Spirit", the scenic spot systematically displays the history and inheritance of Chinese martial arts culture through live performances, martial arts teaching, and collection exhibitions, with an annual reception of more than 500,000 tourists.
Historical Culture
The historical and cultural core of Jingwumen · Chinese Wulin Park originates from Huo Yuanjia (1868-1910), a famous modern patriotic martial artist, and the Jingwu Sports Association founded by him. Huo Yuanjia was born in Xiaonanhe Village (now Jingwu Town), Xiqing District, Tianjin. He was a representative of the Mizong Fist and was famous for the "Jingwu Spirit". In the early 20th century, he defeated foreign strongmen, broke the prejudice of "the sick man of East Asia", and became a symbol of the national spirit.
In 1910, Huo Yuanjia founded the Jingwu Gymnastics Club (later renamed Jingwu Sports Association) in Shanghai, putting forward the Jingwu purpose of "patriotism, self-cultivation, justice, and helping others", which pioneered the socialized and standardized development of modern Chinese martial arts. After a hundred years, the Jingwu Sports Association has set up branches in more than 100 countries and regions around the world, becoming an important carrier for spreading Chinese martial arts and culture.
As Huo Yuanjia's hometown, Jingwu Town, Xiqing District, where the scenic spot is located, officially completed Jingwumen · Chinese Wulin Park in 2009, integrating Huo Yuanjia Cemetery, former residence and newly built venues to form a cultural park integrating commemoration, education and display. Huo Yuanjia's former residence in the park is a traditional quadrangle building of the Qing Dynasty, which retains the original scene of Huo Yuanjia's life. In 2013, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit, becoming an important physical relic for studying modern martial arts history and patriotic spirit.

Huo Yuanjia Memorial Hall
Huo Yuanjia Memorial Hall is the core venue of the scenic spot, with a construction area of about 3500 square meters, divided into four exhibition areas: "Life Story Hall", "Jingwu Development History Hall", "Martial Arts Culture Hall" and "Film and Television Interpretation Hall". The museum collects more than 200 precious cultural relics such as martial arts equipment, letters and manuscripts, and historical photos used by Huo Yuanjia. Among them, the photo of Huo Yuanjia with members of the Shanghai Jingwu Gymnastics Club in 1909 and the copy of the Mizong Fist manual are the treasures of the museum. Through scene restoration, multimedia interaction, wax figure display and other methods, it vividly reproduces Huo Yuanjia's life from a rural martial artist to a national hero, as well as the century-old development history of the Jingwu Association. The museum also has an "Chinese and Foreign Martial Arts Competition" immersive theater, which daily staged classic scenes of Huo Yuanjia defeating foreign strongmen.
Huo Yuanjia Cemetery
Huo Yuanjia Cemetery is located on the north side of the memorial hall, covering an area of about 13,000 square meters, where Huo Yuanjia and his family are buried. The main gate of the cemetery is an archway-style building, with the four characters "Jingwu Light" written on it, and the couplets "Shocking the World, Majestic as Mountains and Rivers" carved on both sides. In the center of the cemetery is Huo Yuanjia's tomb, which is 3.5 meters high and 5 meters in diameter. The tombstone is engraved with "Tomb of Patriotic Martial Artist Huo Yuanjia". In front of the tomb stands a 4.1-meter-high bronze statue of Huo Yuanjia, showing his heroic posture of standing with fists clasped. The cemetery also has the tombs of Huo Yuanjia's parents and children, surrounded by pine and cypress trees, solemn and solemn. In 2006, it was listed as a patriotic education base in Tianjin.
Jingwu Hall
Jingwu Hall is a professional venue integrating martial arts teaching, training and performance in the scenic spot, with a total construction area of 8000 square meters, including 4 standardized training halls, 1 multi-functional competition hall and 1 martial arts props exhibition room. The training hall can accommodate 500 people for martial arts training at the same time, and regularly offers traditional martial arts courses such as Mizong Fist, Tai Chi, and Xingyi Fist, taught by certified coaches of the Jingwu Sports Association. The competition hall is equipped with professional lighting and sound systems, and can host domestic and foreign martial arts events. Jingwu Theater
Jingwu Theater is located in the center of the park, an open circular building covering an area of about 2000 square meters, which can accommodate 1500 audiences. The large-scale live martial arts drama "Huo Yuanjia" is staged at 11:00 and 15:00 every day. The drama takes Huo Yuanjia's life as a clue, integrates martial arts fights, wire effects, light shows and other elements, and reproduces classic scenes such as "Jinmen Martial Arts Competition" and "Shanghai Association Establishment". The performance lasts 45 minutes (ticket price 80 yuan per person). Around the theater, there are martial arts-themed relief walls, depicting groups of famous martial artists from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period to modern times, showing the historical context of Chinese martial arts.
Huo Yuanjia's Former Residence
Huo Yuanjia's former residence is located on the west side of the scenic area. It is a Qing Dynasty quadrangle courtyard building, covering an area of about 700 square meters. Composed of the main house, side rooms, and a martial arts training ground, it was where Huo Yuanjia lived from 1868 to 1909. The former residence has been restored to its original appearance. The main house displays furniture, farm tools, and martial arts charts used by Huo Yuanjia during his lifetime; the side rooms show the living scenes of his family; and the martial arts training ground in the courtyard retains the training equipment such as stone locks and wooden stakes from that era. There is an interactive exhibition area "Young Huo Yuanjia" in the former residence, where visitors can experience the scene of Huo Yuanjia practicing martial arts in his youth through AR technology, making it an important place to understand his growth process.
Food
Tianjin Goubuli Baozi
There is a branch of Goubuli Baozi in the commercial street of Jingwu Town around the scenic spot, which is one of the most representative snacks in Tianjin. The buns are made of fermented flour as the skin, and pork hind leg meat as the filling, mixed with 18 kinds of seasonings. Each bun is pinched with 18-22 folds, shaped like a white chrysanthemum. After being steamed, the skin is thin and the filling is sufficient, with rich soup. It is better to eat with vinegar and shredded ginger. The scenic spot store offers pork filling, three fresh fillings and other varieties, with a price of about 38 yuan per cage (8 pieces), suitable as a light meal.
Erduoyan Fried Cake
Erduoyan Fried Cake is one of the "three unique" foods in Tianjin, which is sold in the specialty store at the exit of the scenic spot. It uses glutinous rice flour as the skin and red bean paste as the filling. It is made into a round shape and fried in hot oil until golden. Yangcun Cake is a traditional pastry in Xiqing District, Tianjin, which is sold in the scenic spot's specialty store. It is made of rice flour and white sugar as raw materials, steamed and cut into squares. It has a delicate and soft taste, melts in the mouth, and has a rice fragrance. It is divided into original flavor and sesame flavor. The small package (200 grams) is 12 yuan, and the large gift box (500 grams) is 30 yuan, which is a popular souvenir.
