Exploration Cabin · Cloud Paradise is located in the Crystal Corridor of Raffles City Shopping Center at No. 8 Jiesheng Street, Chaotianmen, Yuzhong District, Chongqing. It is a comprehensive cultural and tourism scenic spot integrating high-altitude sightseeing, technological interaction, and cultural experience. As the only member of the World Federation of Great Towers in Chongqing and the first urban high-altitude park in Southwest China, the scenic spot features high-altitude sightseeing and extreme experiences as its core, becoming a highly representative urban cultural and tourism landmark in Chongqing.
History and Culture
The historical and cultural roots of Exploration Cabin · Cloud Paradise are deeply bound to the thousand-year-old cultural context and shipping history of Chaotianmen, Chongqing. As the largest among Chongqing's 17 ancient city gates, Chaotianmen was once an important shipping hub, witnessing the prosperity of Chongqing as a key land and water transportation route. Raffles City Chongqing, where the park is located, inherits the cultural heritage of this area from its roots. Designers took "setting sail for a long voyage" as the core concept to create the architectural form, and the combination of its Crystal Corridor and towers echoes Chongqing's thousand-year shipping culture, making the park not only a high-altitude amusement space but also a carrier of condensed urban cultural symbols.
The development of the park is also a process of continuous cultural enrichment. On May 30, 2020, Chongqing Raffles City Exploration Cabin · Observation Deck opened, focusing on high-altitude sightseeing and becoming a high-altitude window for tourists to understand Chongqing's urban style. On August 8, 2021, "Skywalk" was launched, realizing the transformation from pure sightseeing to high-altitude extreme experiences; in May 2022, it was renewed with an orange theme, conforming to the spiritual connotation of Chongqing people's "courage to explore and act", and at the same time, it narrowed the distance with citizens and tourists through a series of cloud cultural activities. In January 2023, the project was officially upgraded to Exploration Cabin · Cloud Paradise, and the "Cloud Leap" project was launched, establishing its position as the first urban high-altitude park in Southwest China. During this period, through diverse activities such as high-altitude yoga, cloud music festivals, and cloud theaters, it integrated trendy culture and urban spirit into the high-altitude scene, making it a cultural and tourism space with both historical depth and modern trendy sense. In addition, reports from many international media have made this high-altitude park an important window to show Chongqing's urban charm to the world.
Major Attractions
Observation Deck
Boasting a 270-degree panoramic view, the open-air fully transparent glass platform is an exclusive prime photo spot for the confluence of the two rivers. Standing on the fully transparent glass, under your feet are the rolling waters of the Jialing River and Yangtze River, as well as scattered urban buildings, allowing you to intuitively feel the magical style of Chongqing's 8D mountain city.
Skywalk
Located at the top of the Crystal Corridor, it is China's first high-altitude walkway on a horizontal skyscraper. The 380-meter-long circular high-altitude suspended walkway offers a 360-degree high-altitude visual experience, overlooking the confluence of the two rivers and the 8D mountain city.
Cloud Leap
As the first urban high-altitude river-view swing in Southwest China, the evening is the best time to experience this project. Tourists can feel the romance of touching clouds and leaping into the sunset glow as the swing rises and falls, and overlook the bright urban night view at night, achieving a dual enjoyment of excitement and beautiful scenery.
Sky Traveler
As Chongqing's first robotic arm MR roller coaster, it is an experience attraction with both a sense of technology and immersion, providing a unique leisure option for tired tourists. By wearing MR glasses, tourists can start a virtual experience of "flying over" Chongqing's iconic landscapes such as Hongya Cave and the light rail passing through buildings. The equipment can also simulate the touch of river wind, creating an extreme immersive effect.
