History and Culture

Evergreen Resort officially opened in May 1995. It has gradually developed from an original sightseeing farm into a comprehensive ecological scenic area. Its development philosophy has always taken ecological protection and environmental education as the main line, making it one of the early scenic spots in China combining tourism with environmental popular science. The scenic spot reuses waste materials to make environmental-friendly musical instruments and stages environmental percussion performances, conveying the environmental concept of waste recycling and forming unique environmental culture features.

In 1997, the song Green Green World, with lyrics written by Qiao Yu and sung by Na Ying, was performed on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, making the scenic spot well-known nationwide. In 2011, Evergreen Resort was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction. For many years, it has continuously carried out forest classes and nature research activities to popularize ecological knowledge among teenagers, serving as an important nature education venue in Shenzhen.
