
Zhongdu Original Grassland Resort is located in Zhangbei County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and one of the most well-preserved and representative original grasslands in North China. The scenic area is famous for its vast grassland scenery, strong Mongolian customs and rich amusement projects. The resort covers an area of about 2,000 mu, with various characteristic buildings such as yurts and luxury wooden houses. Zhangbei County, where Zhongdu Original Grassland is located, was once the site of Yuanzhongdu in history. Yuanzhongdu was one of the three major capitals of the Yuan Dynasty. It was built by Emperor Wuzong of the Yuan Dynasty, Haishan, in 1307 AD. Although it existed for a short time, it played an important role in the history of the Yuan Dynasty and was an important node of politics, military and culture at that time.
The historical and cultural elements in the scenic area are mostly related to Yuanzhongdu culture and grassland nomadic culture. Here, tourists can experience the traditional customs of the Mongolian people. Grassland Paradise is the core amusement area in the resort, covering an area of about 300 mu, with a variety of entertainment projects suitable for tourists of different ages. The Largest Yurt in the World
It is the largest yurt in the world. It is located in the central area of the scenic spot and was completed on August 1, 2010. On September 15, 2010, the Qingzhu Hall was awarded the "Certificate of World's Best" by the China World Records Association. The Flower Sea Scenic Area covers an area of about 500 mu, planted with marigolds, poppies, lavender and other flowers, forming a gorgeous sea of flowers.
