Historical Culture

The name "Fairy Mountain" comes from a peak on the mountain that looks like a dancing fairy. When white clouds linger, the peak looms, floating and misty, like a fairy wearing a thin veil, standing shyly. According to the "Recompiled Records of Fu Prefecture" in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty: "There is a deep cave in the middle of (Fairy Mountain). It is said that a fairy once lived here and then ascended to heaven and was never seen again."

There is also a touching local legend: a shepherd boy married a fairy who came down to earth. Later, the fairy outwitted a rich man who wanted to occupy her, and then turned into a peak, standing on the top of the cliff, becoming a symbol of upholding justice and dispelling evil.
