History and Culture
Nangong Village was originally an ordinary village in the suburbs of Beijing. Since the 1990s, relying on the rich geothermal resources underground, it began to develop the hot spring industry. In 1999, Nangong Hot Spring Water World was completed, becoming an early indoor hot spring complex in Beijing and driving the development of regional tourism economy.
With industrial upgrading, the attraction gradually integrated agricultural, ecological, and cultural resources. After 2000, it successively built projects such as the Agricultural Expo Park and the National Hot Spring Health Garden, forming a unique development model of "hot spring + agriculture + science popularization". In 2010, Nangong Tourist Scenic Area was rated as a national 4A-level attraction, becoming a model for the transformation and development of rural tourism in Beijing.
