Xiyuan Hot Spring Resort is located in Wentang Town, Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. It is a large-scale tourist resort integrating a four-star hotel and a 4A-level scenic spot. History and Culture
The hot spring in Wentang Town where Xiyuan Hot Spring Resort is located has a long history. It is said that in 140 BC, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, Liu Che, suffered from a disease of itchy whole body on his way to offer sacrifices to Mount Tai. Later, he was instructed by a scholar to come to the hot spring in Wentang at the foot of Taihang Mountain. After bathing, the emperor's sores disappeared, and he was very pleased, so he personally named this place "Wentang". Since then, Wentang Hot Spring has become famous all over the world. To commemorate Emperor Wu's visit here and his naming of Wentang, the scenic spot built the Wudi Pavilion.
