
Located at the southeast corner of Sifang Bridge, East 4th Ring Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, Beijing Happy Valley is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The scenic area covers an area of about 560,000 square meters, consisting of seven themed areas: Fjord Forest, Atlantis, Lost Maya, Aegean Harbor, Shangri-La, Dessert Kingdom, and Happy Time. It owns more than 50 themed landscapes, over 10 themed performances, more than 30 themed amusement facilities, over 20 themed games, and commercial auxiliary facilities, making it a large-scale comprehensive amusement park integrating international and modern elements.
History and Culture
Beijing Happy Valley was officially opened in July 2006 and is a large-scale cultural theme park under the OCT Group. As a model of Chinese cultural theme parks, Beijing Happy Valley has always been committed to providing visitors with diversified entertainment experiences, perfectly integrating culture, art, technology, and amusement.
Each themed area in the scenic area contains unique cultural backgrounds: the Atlantis area is based on the mysterious Atlantis civilization, the Lost Maya area showcases the charm of the ancient Maya culture, and the Aegean Harbor area is full of the romantic atmosphere of the Aegean Sea in ancient Greece. These themed areas display the cultural characteristics of different regions and historical periods to visitors through architecture, landscapes, and performances.

Extreme Speed
Located in the Happy Time area, it is China's tallest launched roller coaster with a track length of nearly 1,000 meters and a maximum speed of 135 km/h. It only takes 2.8 seconds from start to accelerating to the maximum speed, allowing visitors to experience the thrill of instant acceleration.
Crystal Wings
Located in the Atlantis area, it is Asia's first flying roller coaster with a track length of 853 meters and a maximum height of 30 meters. Visitors will "fly" on the track in a prone position, experiencing the feeling of soaring like a bird.
Energy Gathering Ship
Located in the Atlantis area, it is a large observation device that can lift visitors to a height of 60 meters, offering a 360-degree overlook of the entire Happy Valley. On clear days, visitors can also have a distant view of Beijing's urban landscape.
Himalayan Eagle · Music Coaster
Located in the Shangri-La area, it is China's first music coaster with a track length of 1,200 meters and a maximum height of 38 meters. When the coaster is running, it plays passionate music, allowing visitors to experience the perfect combination of speed and music while enjoying the thrill.
Dessert Kingdom
It is a themed area specially designed for children and families, including more than 20 parent-child amusement facilities such as Trojan Horse, Cake Swing, and Biscuit City. The entire area is themed around desserts, with buildings and landscapes full of childlike fun and a sweet atmosphere.
Fantasy Ocean Aquarium
Located in the Aegean Harbor area, it is an indoor constant-temperature water park with facilities such as wave pools, lazy rivers, and water slides, suitable for visitors of all ages. Visitors can enjoy water fun even in winter.

Old Beijing Noodles with Soybean Paste
Served in multiple restaurants within the scenic area, it uses chewy hand-rolled noodles paired with traditional soybean paste, accompanied by side dishes such as cucumbers and bean sprouts. It is a classic Beijing dish, priced at about 35 RMB per serving.
Happy Valley Themed Set Meal
Provided in themed restaurants such as Atlantis Restaurant and Lost Maya Restaurant, it includes hamburgers, French fries, drinks, etc. The set meal design incorporates scenic elements, priced at about 68 RMB per set.
Special Snacks
There are many snack stalls in the scenic area, offering snacks such as grilled sausages (15 RMB per piece), ice cream (20 RMB per serving), cotton candy (25 RMB per piece), and traditional foods like old Beijing sugar-coated haws (18 RMB per串).

Opening Hours
On weekdays (Monday to Friday): 9:00-19:00; on weekends (Saturday to Sunday): 8:30-20:00. The opening hours on legal holidays will be appropriately extended, subject to the daily announcement of the scenic area. Night sessions may be opened during the summer vacation (July-August) and major events, usually from 17:00 to 22:00.
Tour Route
Recommended one-day tour route: Enter from the east gate in the morning, first experience Crystal Wings and Energy Gathering Ship in the Atlantis area, then go to the Lost Maya area to challenge the Sun God Car and Maya Apocalypse; have lunch at the Lost Maya Restaurant; in the afternoon, take the Himalayan Eagle · Music Coaster in the Shangri-La area, then go to the Dessert Kingdom to play with children; in the evening, go to the Fantasy Ocean Aquarium in the Aegean Harbor area; experience Extreme Speed in the Happy Time area at night, and finally watch the night show. The whole journey takes about 8-10 hours, and it is recommended to adjust the route according to personal physical strength and interests.
Transportation
- Subway: Take Subway Line 7 to Happy Valley Scenic Area Station, exit from Gate C, and you will arrive at the scenic area gate.
- Bus: Take buses 31, 41, 674, 680, 687, 740, 821, 840, 976, etc., get off at Houfeng Bridge South Station or Beijing Overseas Chinese Town Station, and walk for about 5 minutes to reach the scenic area.
- Self-driving: The scenic area has parking lots with a charging standard of 20 RMB per time for small vehicles and 30 RMB per time for large vehicles. The parking lots are located near the southeast gate and north gate of the scenic area.

- There are many visitors on weekends and holidays. It is recommended to arrive at the scenic area as early as possible and start with popular exciting projects to avoid long queues.
- Carry a light backpack and wear comfortable shoes, as there is a lot of walking in the scenic area. Pay attention to sun protection in summer and keep warm in winter.
- When playing with children, you can give priority to areas suitable for children such as Dessert Kingdom and Fantasy Ocean Aquarium. Some projects have height restrictions, which need to be confirmed in advance.
- If you need to experience water projects, you can prepare swimsuits and towels by yourself. Fantasy Ocean Aquarium provides storage services (charged).
Notes
- Carrying inflammable, explosive, controlled knives, and other dangerous items is prohibited in the scenic area. Carrying food and drinks is prohibited in some projects, subject to the project instructions.
- Before playing exciting projects, carefully read the safety instructions and follow the guidance of the staff. People with hypertension, heart disease, pregnant women, etc., are not suitable for participating in exciting projects.
- Take good care of personal belongings, especially during queuing and playing, to avoid loss. The scenic area has lockers (charged) for storing valuables.
- Observe public order, do not jump the queue or crowd, and play文明 (civilizedly). Take care of the environment of the scenic area and do not litter.
- When playing at night, pay attention to the lighting conditions, take care of the elderly and children traveling together, and some projects may be closed at night, which needs to be consulted in advance.
