Zhang Fei Temple is located in Longbao Village, Panshi Town, Yunyang County, Chongqing Municipality, and it is a national 4A-level scenic area. Covering an area of approximately 10 hectares, the buildings in the scenic area feature strong Three Kingdoms cultural characteristics and traditional Bayu architectural styles. The buildings inside the temple have overhanging eaves and upturned corners, with a rigorous layout. Built to commemorate Zhang Fei, a famous general of the Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period, Zhang Fei Temple preserves a large number of historical relics and stone inscriptions. Historical Culture
Zhang Fei, courtesy name Yide, was a famous general of the Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period, known for his bravery and loyalty. Zhang Fei Temple was first built in the late Shu Han period, with a history of more than 1,700 years. After renovations and expansions in the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, it gradually formed its current scale. Historically, Zhang Fei Temple has always been an important place for people to commemorate Zhang Fei, and many literati and poets have left precious stone inscriptions and inscriptions here.
