Tianjin Polar Ocean Park is located at No. 61, Xiangluowan Central Business District, Binhai New Area, Tianjin. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The scenic area covers an area of approximately 49,000 square meters, with a construction area of 490,000 square meters, including 370,000 square meters for popular science exhibitions. The maximum building height is 67 meters. Its architectural appearance is inspired by a swimming whale, with a unique design. It is a large open tourist attraction integrating polar marine culture experience, popular science education, and leisure and entertainment. The scenic area has 11 exhibition areas, 5 animal science shows, 3 science classrooms, and 3 science laboratories, gathering more than 130 large polar animals and over 30,000 marine creatures, providing visitors with a rich polar marine experience.

Historical Culture

On May 23, 2008, Tianjin Polar Ocean Park officially broke ground. As an important project in the national strategic layout of Haichang Ocean Park Holdings Limited, it came into being relying on the development opportunities of Tianjin Binhai New Area. On September 30, 2010, the park officially opened, becoming one of the larger polar marine theme parks in China at that time. On January 3, 2013, the scenic area was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction, marking that it has reached a high level in tourism services and scenic area management. On January 1, 2017, the "Future Jellyfish Pavilion", the largest jellyfish pavilion in China, officially opened to the public, enriching the exhibition content of the scenic area. In 2022, the "Explore the Fish Universe" exhibition hall opened, and on April 2 of the same year, the scenic area was rated as one of the "First Batch of National Popular Science Education Bases", highlighting its important role in the field of popular science education. On January 17, 2023, Tianjin Polar Ocean Resort Hotel opened, further improving the supporting service facilities of the scenic area and enhancing the visiting experience of tourists.

Antarctic Penguin Island

Antarctic Penguin Island is the exclusive habitat of penguins. The park highly reproduces the polar day and night environment of the Antarctic, as well as natural scenes such as clean glaciers and blue seawater. There are various kinds of penguins living here.
